THINGS ARE GOING TO WORK OUT!!!! Praise the Lord! It could take a little while, but things are going to work out at home. The bad news is that I'm going to be giving up my computers at home (they have been a big cause of a lot of our dis-agreements) and that means that I won't be racing with you guys anymore. I'll still keep in touch on the message board during the day though. I'm going to try to catch up to Sonic for having more posts than laps completed

Praise him brother. Glad to hear that things are looking up. Sorry we won't be able to race anymore but you gotta do what you gotta do. And as for passing me in the forums, in your dreams
I think I have almost as many laps now lol unless the preseason events don't count. #65 Viper, Black Mountain Motorsports, Part Time Driver

Hello B Vander just to let you know i have walked in your shoes and it is not pleasant, Im the one that had to leave and walking out that door with my 3 year old son wanting me to stay, that was hard. I wish I would have had you guys and God with me then, I took the wrong road and drowned my self in the devils world with booze and drugs. A year later I found my Wife now of 12 years, and my son lives with me and our other two children. With Connie and God helping me now life is great, so i think all i can say is stay with God and us your Brothers and you will be fine if you ever need to talk, feel free to email me deanwilliams930@comcast.net and i will give you my phone number any time .....
God bless |

Sounds like you're getting your priorities in order, Brian.
Your family is way more important than playing with us, and whatever else you were doing on the computers. I'll be praying for you all. " I have had prayers answered - most strangely so sometimes -
but I think our heavenly Father's loving-kindness has been even more evident in what He has refused me." Lewis Carroll |

Once again, I just want to say thanks to everyone here. I miss you guys already, and I hope I can keep up to date on the racing on here. I really appreciate the prayers and the words of encouragement. I want to share with you guys how the first couple of evenings went. Here goes:
My wife left on a Tuesday. That night, she came back to get some things. Our pastor was there because she didn't want to come alone. He came early so we could chat about things. On Wednesday night, she came back again to get more stuff, and again our pastor was there. I tried to talk to her, and he tried to talk to her. I asked him if he understood some of what I had put up with and how it wasn't all my fault like she tried to make it out to be. He said that he understood. I then told him that if she walks out the door without sitting down and talking to us, that it was over and I was going to file for divorce. He just sat there while I went on about things, and just listened to me. He did the same thing a couple of days later when I talked to him. He never argued with me, or told me I was wrong for thinking the way I was or anything, he just listened. Each time, he would leave me with a few bible verses, which I don't remember what they were, because at the time, I had my mind made up on what I was going to do. Each time, I woke up the next morning determined that I was going to be calling an attorney and getting things started. Each time, something would come up that would prevent me from making that phone call. Well, things are back on track for our family and we are going to get things worked out. When my wife and I met with our pastor last week, I told him (jokingly) that I was very irritated with him. I told him that I knew exactly what he had done, and when I told him, he just smiled and said, "it worked too, didn't it?". What he did that worked so well, is that instead of arguing with me, telling me where I was being wrong or anything else that he could of done........what he did that worked so well is, HE PRAYED FOR ME AFTER HE LEFT EACH TIME!!!!! It hit me so hard what he had done and how well it worked that I just couldn't believe it. Please read this story again, and believe that the power of prayer is beyond belief. It is just so awesome how God worked in this situation through our pastor to really open my eyes to how I needed to handle conflict in my life. Thanks for your time, Brian VanderWal |
