I am Richard Mitchell, 45 of Picayune, MS. My wife of 18 years, Susan and I have two children, Candace, 17 and Aaron 9. We attend Cedar Grove Baptist Church just walking distance from our home. I am Sunday School Superintendent and Young Peoples Sunday school Teacher there and God has truly blessed. I am Employed at nearby Slidell, LA by Capitol Steel where I work as a Reinforcing Steel Detailer. The Love of God and Family take priority in my life. I still believe in old fashioned family values. I live in the country right next to where I was raised. I am the third of 5 children and with exception to my older brother Mickey who is serving in Iraq with his National Guard unit at this time, we still meet up on Sunday after Church at Daddy and Momma’s house to enjoy a good Sunday dinner and watch the race. The closeness of our family has a special place in my heart. As far as Sim racing goes, Joey(Roadkill) introduced me to it years ago when the first one came out. Later Donald(Sodapop24) got involved and we found out we could have fun racing each other over the internet. Needless to say computers and sim racing have come a long way. Donald mentioned to me one day that he saw a server out there that went by Christian Racing. I checked it out and it didn’t take a lot of figuring to decide that was where we need to be racing. I have enjoyed many good races with CR, and appreciate the friendship that you have shown me.
PS: Oh by the way, Tony (Smoke) Stewart Rules the track!

I am Donald Mitchell (aka Sodapop24) 42 years old and have lived in Picayune MS all of my life. I have been married for 18 years to Melonie and we have 1 daughter, Kasey who is 14. We attend Cedar Grove Baptist Church. I work as the Safety and Loss Control Manager for PepsiAmericas, southern division. I am officed out of New Orleans LA, and am responsible for 9 plants in LA and 1 in Texas. My job keeps me on the road most of the week and keeping family time takes most weekends. I also am working on my Bachelors Degree through the University of Phoenix Online Program. When I do have a free moment I enjoy Golf, Hunting and Fishing. As a family we enjoy NASCAR and look forward to meeting up and my parent’s house each Sunday after church and watching the race. We have a lot of fun ragging each other on who will win the race, as each of us like a different driver. I can’t get everyone else to agree that Jeff Gordon is the best, maybe some day. I enjoy Computer racing very much, with my busy schedule it’s hard to race often but with my laptop I keep up with Christian Racing while I am out on the road. Deep South racing has been together since Heat, but we kept to ourselves cause of all the cussing and intentional wrecking you see online. Finding Christian Racing has been great. The good sportsman ship and general fellowship is awesome. I enjoy keeping up with the forum and seeing what’s happening with all the leagues. The Racing motto for Deep South is “Brothers Racing Brothers”. It’s an honor to be able to extend this to other racing friends as well.
